Milford fast-casual restaurant Roney’s, best known for its cowboy-themed decor and roast beef sandwiches, celebrated the grand opening of its new restaurant in Cleves Wednesday.
The new Roney’s opened at 151 Cooper Ave. in the former Roy Rogers space. Roy Rogers announced last month that it would be closing that location after less than two years in business.
The grand opening kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a special performance by the Taylor High School marching band. In honor of the occasion, Roney’s also donated $2,024 to the band to help support their music program.
Roney’s opened its first location in Mt. Carmel in 2012, offering diners a nostalgic charm and signature dishes like the Lucky R Burger, before relocating to Milford in 2015. The restaurant says with the opening of its Cleves location, it’s excited to introduce its menu and experience to a new audience.
“We are excited to introduce Roney’s to the Cleves community,” Becky Matheny, COO of One Holland Restaurant Group, said in a press release. “Roney’s has a strong tradition of great food and family-friendly service, and we look forward to becoming a new favorite in Cleves.”
Roney’s will serve breakfast on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and lunch and dinner daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. It also will have a brunch buffet featuring items like bacon, sausage, eggs and French toast sticks from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Along with its classic menu of roast beef sandwiches, burgers and fried chicken, Roney’s is also introducing a few new menu items:
The Rancher Wrap: A crispy, hand-breaded chicken tender wrapped in a tortilla with cheddar, tomatoes, lettuce and a zesty chipotle ranch.
The Wrangler Chicken Sandwich: Hand-breaded crispy chicken on a buttered Kaiser roll with Swiss cheese, bacon and Roney’s signature honey and sweet jalapeño sauce.
Seasonal items, including apple crisp and strawberry shortcake.
