Every once in a while, Cincinnati is graced with a collaboration between two culinary powerhouses that is so rare and beautiful that all we can do is stare in awe (and then eat said collaborative food and sit in the wonderment). The newest dish to grace the Queen City that evokes such a reaction is the Queen Coney Pizza, a heavenly mashup of Taglio pizza and Camp Washington’s Cincinnati-style chili, as well as coney fixings.

The Queen Coney Pizza is the best of both worlds. (We at CityBeat would also like to point out that both Camp Washington Chili and Taglio recently won in the respective Best of Cincinnati categories Best Chili (Non-Chain) and Best Overall Pizza (Non-Chain), truly making them the best of both worlds.) The pizza is crafted using Taglio’s fluffy Detroit-style crust, which is topped with Camp Washington chili, sliced hot dog, onion and mustard. You also get the “Cracker Bomb” nod with the additions of hot sauce and oyster crackers.

Taglio first rolled out the pizza at the end of March at its Over-the-Rhine location, but demand for this savory goodness was so high, Taglio had no choice but to answer our pleas and bring it to their Columbia Tusculum and Montgomery locations too.

“You spoke and we listened! The Queen Coney Pizza is now available at ALL Taglio locations!” the pizzeria wrote on social media Monday.

And to mark such an occasion, you can also buy a limited-edition shirt commemorating this momentous culinary collaboration in Cincinnati history. Cincy Shirts crafted a white and red t-shirt featuring an illustration of the Queen Coney Pizza, which you can get for $35 online here.

Taglio is located at 56 E. 12th St., Over-the-Rhine; 3531 Columbia Parkway, Columbia Tusculum; and 9321 Montgomery Road, Montgomery. More info: eattaglio.com.
