A West Side bakery is closing both its stores this fall as the owners look to retire.

Regina Bakery, which owns one location in Cheviot and another in Miami Heights, will close by the end of September, according to a post from owners Tom and Robin Davis.

“Baking has been more than just a business for us; it has been our life’s passion. For generations, since 1964, and under our family’s care since 1980, it has been our privilege to serve you. We’ve explored every possibility to continue, trying to sell the bakery to operate in the same manner as it does today. However, the time has come for us to embark on a well-deserved retirement. It’s a difficult goodbye, but we’re looking forward to enjoying some quiet years ahead,” reads the post.

The Davises said Java Jackets, a coffee shop in North Bend, will acquire both locations as well as Regina’s production facility, with the intention of offering some Regina Bakery favorites.

“Our employees, many of whom have been with us for years, and even their children, are like family. We will truly miss the warmth of your smiles and the daily connections. Thank you for embracing us, for your loyalty, and for making Regina Bakery a special part of your lives and your happiest celebrations. It has been an honor,” the Davises shared.
