Over the past few years, the Cincinnati Reds have hosted post-game concerts by the likes of The Avett Brothers, AJR and Walk the Moon.
This year, the “Ohio Lottery Post-Game Concert Series” begins with a decidedly less contemporary show that kicks it back to the ’90s with a lineup of artists who capitalized on Hip Hop’s crossover to the mainstream.
Vanilla Ice, Naughty By Nature, Tone Loc and Rob Base will play an “I Love the ’90s” concert on June 27 at Great American Ballpark following the 4:10 p.m. Reds game vs. the defending World Series champs, the Washington Nationals.
Post-game concerts start approximately 20 minutes after the last pitch. Admission is included in the price of the game ticket.
The rest of the Post-Game Concert Series includes Country duo Brothers Osborne on July 24 after a game against the Rockies. Special seats — “field passes” and VIP tickets — are available now on the Reds’ site.
Another act that emerged in the ’90s — Ohio-born pop-rockers O.A.R. — will play GABP on Aug. 1 (get upgraded tickets here). The series closes out on Aug. 15 with Contemporary Christian band MercyMe.
