Mesmerizing Cincinnati Indie Pop band Sungaze has released its latest music video. The clip for “This River” premiered Aug. 5 via The 405. The song is taken from the group’s recently-released debut album, Light in All of It. The video follows “New Familiar,” which was released late last year.

The dusty desert scenes and vintage film filter are a perfect match for the rolling melodies and harmonies and the streaking guitar glaze slathered all over the track. The haunting visuals were shot while Sungaze was on tour in Texas.

“I actually booked our recent Texas tour specifically so we could film this video in a desert setting,” singer Ivory Snow says. “In the middle of the tour, we spent three days in the small town of Turkey, Texas, where we filmed at the famous Hotel Turkey (definitely haunted) during the day and watched the local wildlife from the front porch rocking chairs at night (a couple stray dogs and hundreds of toads).”

Sungaze is already plotting its second album and has several local shows looming. The band plays a free show tonight (Aug. 7) at MOTR Pub with Moonbeau and Fanclub.
