Though comic Rich Guzzi still does some traditional stand-up for his “The Rich Guzzi Comedy Hypnosis Show,” the bulk of his show is audience volunteer hypnosis and something Guzzi describes as a self-help element.
“I get people to quit smoking, to lose weight,” he says. “I have a lot of special tools. There’s a whole show after the show for anyone who wants to quit smoking or lose weight and so on. People hang out in the bar, I’m hypnotizing (them), tell them they’re getting drunk on a glass of water, we’re having fun.”
It’s a night of comedy and motivational speaking in one.
