Mobile coronavirus vaccinations throughout Cincinnati continue, and Cincinnati Public Schools will host the latest chance to get the shot.

The Cincinnati Health Department will offer free COVID-19 vaccinations during a CPS block party noon-2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Woodward Career Technical High School, 7005 Reading Road.

Both adults and children are eligible for the vaccines, a release from CPS says. Individuals must be at least 12 years old for a Pfizer vaccine and 18 years old for Moderna or J&J vaccines. Parental consent is required for minors.

The event also will include an appearance from former career Cincinnati Bengals fullback Ickey Woods, live music by the WIZ, giveaways and more.

The event is part of a block party designed to prepare current and future students for the fall school year. CPS will provide information about Jump-Start, its one-week program for preschoolers and kindergartners that begins Aug. 9, as well as academics and athletics. CPS employees will be on hand to meet with families.

CPS says that this will be the first in a series of summer block parties.
