A local appellate court judge who is a neighborhood activist and a one-time Cincinnati City Council candidate recently was elected as president of the Ohio State Bar Association.
Patrick F. Fischer was elected Friday during the Bar Association's annual convention in Columbus.—-
Fischer is a former president of the Pleasant Ridge Community Council who ran for City Council as a Republican in 2007. He finished 14th out of 25 candidates; the top nine finishers were elected.
He currently sits on the bench of the 1st District Court of Appeals. Previously he was a partner in the Keating Muething & Klekamp law firm and was president of the Cincinnati Bar Association.
Fischer is a graduate of Harvard Law School and his daughter, K.C., is a third-year law student at the University of Cincinnati.
