Whether you’re an experienced shooter, looking for a new adventure or trying to be in the next Hunger Games, Winton Woods’ archery class is something worth trying. Certified staff will teach the basics of shooting a compound bow, help with hands-on practice and make sure no one gets shot in the process. Perfect for ages 8 and older. All equipment is provided, so don’t worry about not having a bow. Register online by March 20 for the weekend classes.

2 p.m. Saturday; 1 p.m. Sunday. $15 plus a motor vehicle permit ($3 daily). Adventure Post at Winton Woods, 10245 Winton Road, Winton Woods, greatparks.org.
