Second Sunday gets a green makeover with this month’s “Eco-OTR” theme. From noon-5 p.m. head downtown for an afternoon of family-friendly events with a green theme. The all-day Street Fair on Main will feature over 60 craft and food vendors with music from DJs; at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., meet at Main and Fourteenth streets to walk the street car route with Architreks; at 12:30 p.m. watch a performance by Cincy Shakespare’s Young Company; at 1 p.m. there’s a free yoga session by You Do Yoga; at 1 and 4 p.m., bike the streetcar route; and at 2:30 p.m., Owen Maass from Cumin and Molly Wellmann of Virgil’s will be doing a celebrity chef and craft cocktail demo, respectively. Other events not to miss include SPCA students acting as characters from The Wizard of Oz from 1-3 p.m.; the OTR tour of living, which will lead you through eight renovated historical buildings from noon-4 p.m.; creating your own upcycled art pieces at Future Bloom Studio; and participating in the auction of the OTR quilt, hand-painted by patrons of August’s Second Sunday event. Egads. That’s a lot of stuff. And most of it is free (except for the food and walking the street car route). Get more details at secondsundayinotr.org.
