We may be practicing social distancing, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate ole St. Patrick together — from afar.
A public local Facebook event has been circulating, asking folks to partake in the tradition, while respecting coronavirus safety concerns.
“It’s St. Patrick’s Day. Have a front porch, stoop or balcony? Then join us all as we have a drink together and wave at each other from a safe distance,” the event page reads.
So pour yourself a frosty brew (if you’re all out you can order one from one of these local spots for pick up or delivery), toss in a couple of drops of green food coloring and cheers to social distancing and staying healthy.
The event page asks those partaking to post a photo of their porch-sipping fun to the page.
