U.turn, the cooperative gallery at 2159 Central Ave. in Brighton, begins its new year with an interesting and unusual set of exhibitions collectively titled Colony. Photographer Adam Longbonz’s show, Half Breed, offers images of Caucasian young adults dressed like the Native Americans of yore. Travis Meinolf, a German-based “action weaver” whose work is in the collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, will also have his art on display. Two collaborative efforts — from Maidens of the Cosmic Body Running and performance artists Tenthaus — will also be featured. Colony is up through Jan. 30.
