You may not be able to leave the country, but your tastebuds can.
The 29th-annual Cincinnati International Wine Festival takes over the Duke Energy Convention Center with more than 700 different wines from over 250 wineries.
Events kicked-off Thursday with paired wine dinners at restaurants across the Tri-State, but the main event takes place Friday and Saturday with Grand Tastings, a silent auction and learning opportunities. Admission to the Grand Tastings includes a Riedel wine glass and the chance to sample all the food and wines on offer.
If you add on a special tasting room ticket, you can sample seven high-end wines for one hour prior to each Grand Tasting. Educational events are ticketed separately.
Proceeds from the festival have raised more than $5.6 million to benefit more than 35 charities, including the Freestore Foodbank, Alzheimer’s Association, Cincinnati Ballet and Women Helping Women.
