Love is in the air — and so is the smell of sliders. White Castle has opened up reservations for its 28th-annual Valentine’s Day dinner for humans who enjoy small hamburgers and/or irony with a side of romance.

From 4-9 p.m. on Feb. 14 at most White Castle locations, you and your boo can enjoy a fancy fast-food experience with hostess seating, tableside service, mood-setting decor and a full menu, including the new Impossible slider — a vegetarian slider made with an Impossible burger.

Other menu items you can eat before possibly engaging in romantic activities: chicken rings, mac and cheese nibblers or a sloppy joe or fish slider.

“Valentine’s Day has become a longstanding tradition that is very special to many of our customers and team members across the country,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president of White Castle, in a release. “Many Cravers have shared stories with us about meeting the loves of their lives, or forming lifelong friendships at our restaurants, so we look forward to hosting this special event every year to help our fans build even more memorable moments.”

Reservations are limited and more than 30,000 “Cravers” did V-Day at White Castle last year. Reservations can be made by calling 513-559-0575 ext. 21 or going on OpenTable.

And if you miss V-Day or just feel like doubling up on class, these two Cincinnati locations are also taking reservations on Feb. 15: 64 W. Mitchell Ave., Saint Bernard and 5590 Dixie Highway, Fairfield.
