According to a study by financial website SmartAsset, the Queen City is a hot spot for affordable travel, especially for families.
The study gathered data from 48 of the country’s largest cities and evaluated hotel, travel, car rental and meals for a family of four over a three-day span.
While a majority of the destinations that made the list were sunny southern or West Coast spots like Orlando or Sacramento, Cincinnati, which came in at No. 6, was a midwest outlier.
According to Kara Gibson, an employee of SmartAsset, “A three-day, three-night trip to Cincy for a family of four averages $2,793, and an individual can vacation here for $1,046. A restaurant meal averages just $20 in Cincinnati, the second-lowest price in our entire study.”
Not only is it affordable, with parks, free interactive museums, events and more spanning from the burbs to downtown, there’s plenty to do for everyone.
Orlando came in at No. 1 with an average family vacation total of $2,373 and Tuscon came in at No. 10 with an average of $2,894 for a family of four.
