Next month, local pub and live music venue MOTR in Over-the-Rhine will host a book fair exclusively featuring books related to Cincinnati and regional musical history.
The “Cincinnati Music Book Show” will feature several local authors selling and signing books on every sort of topic, from a history of Bob Dylan’s many Cincinnati performances, to Louisville’s important relationship to Jug Band Music, to a graphic-novel remembrance of a young girl’s attendance at a Beatles concert, to a collection of the flyers that promoted punk bands at Newport’s Jockey Club in the 1980s and plenty more when the event occurs on Nov. 7 from 12:15 to 3:15 p.m.

Just a sampling of the authors at the event include:
- Graley Herren, “Dylan in Cincinnati”
- Michael L. Jones, “Louisville Jug Music”
- Steve Kemme, “The Outsider, The Life and Work of Lafcadio Hearn”
- Rick Kennedy, “Jelly Roll, Bix and Hoagy: Gennett Records and the Rise of America’s Musical Grassroots”
- Randy McNutt, “The Cincinnati Sound”
- Garin Pirnia, “Rebels and Underdogs: The Story of Ohio Rock and Roll”
- Steven Rosen, “Lost Cincinnati Concert Venues of the ‘50s and ‘60s”

Admission to the event is free and open to all at MOTR, located at 1345 Main Street in Over-the-Rhine.
