Over-the-Rhine Asian gastropub Quan Hapa has set an official reopening date after the restaurant closed in early October to undergo what they refer to as “significant renovations.”

Guests can check out the refreshed eatery starting Nov. 17.

In a release, the Lang Thang Group — which oversees Quan Hapa as well as Pho Lang Thang and the Hi-Mark — says updates included a new dining room, expanded patio seating and a refreshed menu.

“After weathering the last year, coupled with our previous nine years of being open, we felt that our restaurant was in need of some significant updates,” says Bao Nguyen, operating partner of the Lang Thang Group, in the release. “We also wanted to take a step back and solidify our operations to really focus on not only our business but also to find ways that we can improve the quality of life for our employees.”

The release notes the patio expansion more than doubles the previous imprint and now includes a three-season awning to “allow for dining well into the colder months of the year.”

Duy Nguyen, managing partner of the Lang Thang Group, says of the menu updates that the team “went through several rounds of tests and critiques with the crew to really hone in on what we wanted this new iteration of Quan Hapa to become.”

Along with the restaurant’s super popular Korean fried chicken, ramen and okonomiyaki — which now feature updated recipes — they will be offering higher-end dishes including Lumpia Shanghai, Seafood Dynamite and Cauliflower Korma Katsu.

Quan Hapa will also now use the local 53T Courier exclusively for food delivery.
