A popular family-owned donut shop will close one of its locations after this weekend.

Danny and Katie Plazarin, the husband-and-wife team who own both the Holtman’s Donut Shop in West Chester and Oakley, announced on social media Saturday that they will be closing the Oakley location. Its last day in business will be Sunday, July 13.

“We’ve absolutely loved being part of this neighborhood our team here has been incredible, and the relationships we’ve built with so many of you have meant the world to us. But like so many small businesses right now, we’ve felt the weight of change in our industry. And as a young family with little ones, we’ve also had to face the reality that we can’t do everything, at least not all at once. We’re craving a little more consistency, simplicity, and space to breathe,” the couple shared in a Facebook post.

The Plazarins say they hope to find a smaller space for the business in the future that can fit their lives more easily. Their West Chester location will remain open, as will the Holtman’s Williamsburg and Loveland locations, which are owned by Danny’s parents, Toni and Chuck Plazarin.

“We know news like this can be frustrating or disappointing. Please know we feel that too. This community has been so good to us, and we’re so proud of the time we’ve spent here.”
