Sam Adams is ready to party this St. Patrick’s Day in Over-the-Rhine.
The brewery is collaborating with local influencer Michelle Jones, a.k.a. Hey Michelle, on the release of a Paddy’s-themed beer called Shamrock All Day. It’s an Irish Red ale with rich notes of caramel and toffee balanced by earthy hops, a nod to both Boston roots and Cincinnati’s deep Irish heritage.
The release party for Shamrock All Day is this Saturday at the Samuel Adams Taproom in OTR from noon to 4 p.m., just after the St. Patrick’s Day parade downtown.
“We see how big St. Patrick’s Day is in this city,” said Keith McEly, General Manager of Samuel Adams Cincinnati Taproom in a press release. “People gather downtown early and make a full day of it, which is exactly what Shamrock All Day was brewed for. We love when beer becomes part of a bigger Cincinnati moment, and that is why this has already become one of our favorite seasonal collaborations yet.”
Jones, who proudly celebrates her Irish roots alongside her sisters each year with a St. Patrick’s Day bar crawl tradition, says this collaboration felt meant to be.
“St. Patrick’s Day has always been my Super Bowl,” said Michelle Jones in the release. “My sisters and I grew up making a full day out of it. When the Sam Adams team approached me about doing a collaboration for the holiday, it just made sense. I have loved partnering with the taproom on this project. Getting to brew Shamrock All Day and host our own pre-game party feels like the most on-brand thing I have ever done.”
Guests are encouraged to head straight from the parade to the Taproom in full green gear to keep the celebration going. The afternoon will feature themed swag, a festive photo booth, and giveaways for guests who RSVP. Giveaway participants will spin a wheel for a chance to win taproom gift cards, the Our American Dream Cookbook and additional surprise items.
Shamrock All Day is available on draft and in cans to-go all weekend long, with cans already available for purchase.
The Shamrock All Day Release Party is free to attend. Guests are strongly encouraged to RSVP in advance via Eventbrite to participate in giveaways.
