Cincinnatians won’t be screaming “Yeah!” at Paycor Stadium anytime soon.
Chris Brown and Usher have canceled four of the remaining stops on their “R&B Tour,” according to Ticketmaster. One of the stops canceled is right here in Cincinnati, which was set to take place on Oct. 24.
The “R&B Tour” — which serves as a bit of a double entendre since the stars’ last names are Raymond and Brown — originally added eight new dates, including Cincinnati and Indianapolis, due to high fan demand. Those shows have now been axed.
An official statement from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis said “the event promoter has made the difficult decision to cancel select upcoming dates on the R&B Tour to prioritize the health and well-being of the touring party and crew.”
All four canceled dates come just before Brown is due in court in the U.K. for sentencing, after pleading guilty to charges in a London nightclub assault case.
According to Ticketmaster, fans who purchased tickets should receive a refund to their original payment method in two to three weeks.
