Good Plates Eatery in Clifton Heights has closed after six years of business.
The American eatery, owned by husband-and-wife duo Andrew and Jamie Schlanser, opened in 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, the duo collaborated with The Park, a bar located downtown at The Banks, to bring the Good Plates menu to the bar; that partnership ended in October.
The Schlansers announced the restaurant’s closure in a Facebook post.
“We are devastated to announce that we have closed our doors. We gave it quite a run and did a lot in six years,” the post read. “Thank you to each and every one of you that supported us in anyway.”
The post did not list a reason for the closure, although the couple did add that they’ll “both be looking for jobs if anyone has a lead or is looking for people.”
The space previously held Cilantro, a Vietnamese bistro, which opened in 2004 but closed on January 29, 2020.
