NKU NPHC Homecoming Stroll Off When: Feb. 7 from 7-10 p.m. with doors at 6:30 p.m. Where: Northern Kentucky University Regents Hall, Highland Heights What: Northern Kentucky University is celebrating Homecoming Week with a stroll-off competition between the six chapters of the Divine Nine on NKU’s campus. The talented organizations share their step-dancing and chants to show unity and community between their Greek chapters. Bellevue Bellevue has something a bit different (the term is different because it’s a different state), but the concept is the same. The Bellevue Entertainment District (BED) allows those over 21 to roam with open containers as they shop. The BED opened in November 2019 between O’Fallon Avenue and Riviera Drive on Fairfield Avenue. Hours of operation are noon-11 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. Sweet Stroll through Over-the-Rhine When: Feb. 8 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Where: Sets off at Findlay Market in Over-the-Rhine What: Learn all about the history of Cincinnati through a two-and-a-half-hour guided tour with six sweet treat stops on the way. Tour participants will stop at bakeries throughout the beautifully historic Over-the-Rhine. Who: Cincinnati Food Tours Why: Learning more about Cincinnati’s history while sampling treats from delicious bakeries sounds super sweet to me. Adam Doty
Cupid’s Undie Run Cincinnati When: Feb. 8 from noon-4 p.m. with the run at 2 p.m. Where: Queen City Radio, Over-the-Rhine What: Participants will jog through the city to raise funds and awareness for those affected by Neurofibromatosis, a group of genetic disorders that causes tumors to grow on nerves. The event will begin with drinks and dancing, leading into a mile jog and ending with a dance party. Summer Salon: Words of Resistance and Resilience 2-4 p.m. Aug. 6 Calling all storytellers — The Well is partnering with 2023 Wellspring Fellow & poet Elena Estella Green to host an open mic-style salon this weekend. Whether it’s poetry, dance, music or storytelling, all are welcome to present their stories in the theme of resistance and resilience. This event will be held both in person at Camp Washington and online. If you plan to perform, please register beforehand. 2-4 p.m. Aug. 6.
