She’s extremely caring of her brother as well. Cookie has a lot of energy and would do great with an active family, couple or individual! She loves scratches behind the ears and soft blankets! She’s extremely playful and active. She loves chasing stuffed balls & soft toys. She loves a fun little belly rub now & then as well. She’ll stay in a crate or on a pillow in her crate all night. Age: 2.5 Years Old / Breed: Saint Bernard / Sex: Female / Rescue: Louies Legacy
“Hello! I’m Molly Moo! I’m a 2.5 year old, 90 pound, Saint Bernard. I’m a shy girl, but once I get to know you and trust you, I’m the sweetest! I love to roam my foster family’s fenced-in yard and bark at the neighborhood squirrels, although my favorite activity is to take walks up and down our street with my foster family. I am fostered with kids, dogs and cats and while I get along with the human members of my foster crew, I do prefer to be the only animal. I will need a new home that is animal free and ready to give all of the snuggles to me only! It might be selfish, but when you’re this cute, you can make those kinds of demands! I am doing great on my potty training and crate training and have never had an accident in my foster family’s house. I would love a home with a family of my own and a big yard to run around in! If that sounds like you, apply for me today! My adoption fee is $250.”
Photo viaPasty Cline
Age: 2-3 Months Old / Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Sex: Female / Rescue: Louies Legacy
“Say hello to one legendary kitten crew! These 2-3 month old babies are such cute little nuggets, they’re sure to be stars. They love to run around and chase each other, and are always pouncing on the nearest brother or sister when they think no one’s looking. When it comes to personality, they’re as different as their fuzzy little bodies! Behind mom, Whitney Houston is the most courageous of the group and always the first to come say hi, but Janis Joplin and Patsy Cline are playful girls who are never far behind. And while those 3 are greeting you, you can usually look up to find Elton John just out of reach, scoping you out with a wide-eyed and curious look until he can be sure you’re a trustworthy friend. Knowing that they’re the beauties of the bunch, Bonnie Raitt, Kenny Rogers and Carlos Santana are always the last to win over. They’d prefer to wrestle with their siblings and zoom around the room than curl up with a new friend, but once you scoop them up and give them a good face rub, they’ll be your new buddy. Patsy’s adoption fee is $75 or adopt two kittens of $110.
Kittens are very social by nature, so if there is no other cat in the home, our kittens (under one year of age) are adopted in pairs.”
Photo viaBlue
Age: 4 Years Old / Breed: Australian Shepherd / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louies Legacy
“My name is Blue and I am a 4 year old Aussie mix. I absolutely LOVE a good booty rub and chewing on stuffed bones! I am potty trained, crate trained, and enjoy the company of other dogs. Im not much of a barker but will alert you when a stranger comes by! I am a bit shy with new humans but warm up to them eventually. Im low energy but willing to learn anything if there is a good treat at the end! Blue’s adoption fee is $250.”
Photo viaFinley
Age: 11 Weeks Old / Breed: Labrador Retriever / Sex: Female / Rescue: Louies Legacy
“Finley is an 11 week old lab mix puppy with lots of energy! She weighs about 15 lbs. She is shy at first, but will soon warm up and be ready to play! She is a very smart girl and has caught onto house training very quickly, however she is not crate trained. Finley loves to chew on her bone and play tug of war! Finley is not fostered with any other animals or children but should adapt to them quickly. Her adoption fee is $400.”
Photo viaSerenity
Age: 1.5 Years Old / Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Sex: Female / Rescue: Louies Legacy
“Serenity and Hope are both gorgeous girls who are looking for their forever! Serenity is about 1.5 years old and is the momma to Hope, who is almost 7 months old. These girls are very sweet, but do take a little time to warm up. Once they are comfortable, they will be happy to greet you and purr as they gladly accept all of your love! They are fostered with other cats and have been fine with them after proper introductions. They do like to play and they love treats and wet food! If you are looking for a very sweet companion, here they are! Serenity’s adoption fee is $75.
Kittens are very social by nature, so if there is no other cat in the home, our kittens (under one year of age) are adopted in pairs.”

Age: 5 Years Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Female / Rescue: SPCA
“Wow !! What a beauty !! This lovely female mix breed is a substantial gal at 60 lbs. She came to us as a stray so plan on house breaking and basic training. She has been good with other dogs of her same size. It’s unknown how she may be with children, so make sure to bring your pack for an introduction !! She is alert and happy and would make a great hiking or running companion. Like the sands of the desert, golden and beautiful, ask to see ‘ Sahara ‘ !!”
Photo viaRio
Age: 5 Months Old / Breed: Labrador Retriever/Shepherd Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louies Legacy
“The Rescue Guys litter is 5 months old. They are Shepherd/Lab mixes. These boys weigh about 45 pounds each already, so they will be large dogs. They are almost potty trained, just need a little patience to get them all the way there. They are crate trained, and very friendly and social boys. They love to play and cuddle. They are all neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated! Rio is a sweet boy. He loves to be near his human. He likes all toys and is a great couch buddy. Rio has the best ears! He likes playing in the yard, and laying in the sun. His adoption fee is $400. Where are the big dog lovers??”
Photo viaMindy
Age: 4 Years Old / Breed: Spaniel/Welsh Springer Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: SAAP
“SAAP Nation meet Mindy a four year old Springer/Welsh Spaniel mix! Mindy just made it to her foster home. She has meet a couple dogs and has done well. Mindy seems to know sit. She is definitely a HIGH ENERGY gal. She gets super excited when you grab the leash although she needs some leash work. She seems to be fine in the crate. Too early to know about house training. Mindy does need some pounds added on.
Adopt Mindy at adoptastray.com! Have an approved app, just reply to that if interested.”
Photo viaWaylon
Age: 3.5 Months Old / Breed: Anatolian Shepherd/ Sex: Male / Rescue: Louies Legacy
“Hello! Meet the Anatolian boys, Hank and Waylon. These boys are so big (over 30 pounds at 3.5 months) and are so sweet. These puppies are currently not able to meet the foster dogs in their house because they haven’t gotten all their vaccines yet, but they play well among themselves, suggesting they will probably get along with other dogs if properly introduced. They do like to play ruff (get it, ruff?!) with each other so they may annoy an older, laid back dog. They accidentally met a cat and were overzealous (like all puppies would be) but not mean to her. Waylon loves to fetch a tennis ball over and over again. It’s a great way to burn his moderate puppy energy. Hank loves to chase Waylon and also chases the ball but Waylon generally wins out. (Waylon is the smaller and slightly more coordinated among the two, and Hank is the biggest lover). When unattended, the boys are confined to a small room and they will whine and bark for a few minutes but are generally quiet. Their bark, like their frame, is big! They haven’t started potty training outside yet, but have been getting the hang of using puppy pads. Waylon’s adoption fee is $400.”
Photo viaRoadie
Age: 6 Years Old / Breed: Domestic Shorthair Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: SAAP
“Roadie was named after the Texas Roadhouse, where she was rescued as a pregnant cat. She is a healthy adult who is active, loves looking out the window at the birds and enjoying the easy life as an indoor and loved pet. Fostered with cats and is still getting used to living with them, Unknown about being around dogs. Go to adoptastray.com for an online application.”
Photo viaTianna
Age: Adult / Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Sex: Female / Rescue: Ohio Alleycat Resource
“Tianna is highly talkative and enjoys a rope scratching pad and all sorts of toys! Although being held is not her favorite activity, she’s very sweet and friendly otherwise. She is curious, and prefers to come meet you rather than you coming to her. She has the most adorable head tilt that adds to her charm! She can’t wait to meet you and become part of your family!..Interested in adopting? Questions about this cat? Please complete our adoption form at www.ohioalleycat.org/adoption-form. We will contact you to discuss the adoption process and answer your questions. The adoption fee for this cat is $40, which helps pay for their medical and daily care expenses. If you adopt a second cat of any age within 90 days, there is no additional adoption fee.”
Photo viaShadow
Age: 11 Years Old / Breed: Domestic Shorthair Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: SPCA
“Hello! I’m Shadow and I’m ready for my forever home – thanks for checking out my profile! I am a senior lady but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a ton of love to give. I’m in a foster home right now with another kitty and I’m doing great! My foster mom says I’m very sweet and that I love food (like, a lot). If you’d like to add a laidback gal like myself to your home, fill out an application with my number, 43825375!”
Photo viaClarice
Age: 2 Years Old / Breed: Hound Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: SAAP
“Clarice is a sweet 2 year old girl. Loves people, animals and kids. While she is working on it in her foster home, she could use some basic training to learn boundaries (she wants all the attention, and will nudge you until she gets it). But she is eager to please, especially when food is the prize. She is just a hound, likes stealing food from tables, barking with joy at other dogs, and capable of jumping a four foot fence. Come fall in love with this lady!”
Photo viaMochi
Age: 1 Years Old / Breed: Domestic Medium Hair Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: SAAP
“I came to SAAP after my owner passed away and I was left outside to fend for myself. A nice neighbor began to feed me and took me to get spayed which is why I have a little piece clipped off of one ear. He then contacted our rescue group so I could get a good home because I long for someone to love me. I am super affectionate. I love to snuggle and you can see by my pics enjoy sleeping on the bed. I did test positive for Feline leukemia which means I need to be an only cat. The vet said otherwise I look really healthy. I enjoy a bit of canned food and relaxing with my people. To meet me please fill out an app! I know you will love me and my foster mom says a special adopter is out there”
Photo viaLady
Age: 5 Years Old / Breed: Great Pyrenees Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: SAAP
“Meet Lady. Lady is a beautiful 85lb. Great Pyrenees mix. Lady prefers a home with no small children or other dogs. She is housebroken. She loves to follow you around and be petted. Lady has never been crated. She had to have a full shave down due to being severely matted. If you are interested in adopting Lady go to adoptastray.com and fill out an application. Please do your research on the Great Pyrenees before considering adopting.”

Age: 6.5 Months Old / Breed: Domestic Shorthair/Tortoiseshell / Sex: Female / Rescue: HART of Cincinnati Animal Rescue
“Chatty Tortie alert! Gabby’s name suits her – she loves to talk! This 6.5 month old girl is looking for her forever home. She is really friendly and loves attention. She’s really affectionate, in fact it was difficult getting photos of her because she just wanted to be petted. She even didn’t mind being held during her photo shoot! Besides talking, Gabby loves wet food, cat naps, and soft beds!

Photo viaLancelot
Age: 3 Years Old / Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Sex: Male / Rescue: HART of Cincinnati Animal Rescue
“Meet Lancelot the best couch potato cuddle bug youll ever meet! He’s about 3 years old and he is a LOVE! He does not follow social distancing practices at all! He wants to be in your personal space most of the time, and he wants to nap on top of his human (I promise youll love it). Lance is a talker and has the cutest meow he kind of sounds like Chewbacca.
Lance is FIV positive but its not a big deal he is healthy and gets along well with other friendly cats. While Lance hasnt been around dogs, he is so low key and chill I think he would do just fine with a nice low energy dog friend and a good introduction.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Lancelot is your guy!

Photo viaIsabella
Age: 7 Months Old / Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Sex: Female / Rescue: HART of Cincinnati Animal Rescue
“Isabella (and her sister Olivia) came to HART from a shelter in Kentucky. Isabella is the gray tabby in the photos. They were surrendered when their owner moved and couldn’t take them along. They are 7 month old sister that are friendly and love attention! They both enjoy wet food, cat naps, and each other. We couldn’t even get photos of them separately because they stick to each other like glue! They get along with other cats, but we don’t know about dogs or small children. Ideally we would love to see them adopted together, but maybe if they have another friendly kitty in their forever home they can be adopted separately. But they sure look cute cuddled up together!

Photo viaSuicune
Age: 5 Years Old / Breed: Hound Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: SAAP
“Suicune (known as Honey) is available for adoption. She is a 5 yr old 55-lb hound mix. Although I have only had her 24 hours, I can tell you she is quiet, likes taking walks, knows commands although you may have to tell her more than once, and loves her toys. She is a beautiful girl and doesn’t require much but a little play time then she likes to sleep on her doggie bed. Apply at www.adoptastray.com.”
Photo viaSheldon
Age: 14 Years Old / Breed: Hound Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: SAAP
“Sheldon is a sweet loving senior hound mix who is looking for a low key home to live out his retirement years. Sheldon is house trained and doesn’t need a crate. He loves short walks and is very food motivated. He knows how to “sit pretty” for snacks and loves a good belly scratch. Sheldon was diagnosed with Endothelial Degeneration last year and had Gundersen flap surgery to try to maintain his vision. The surgery was successful but then he was diagnosed with KCS (dry eye.) He has significant vision impairment and is on 3 drops 3x a day that he will likely be on for life. He is extremely tolerant with the drops and it’s just a normal part of his routine. He will also need regular visits the the eye institute for rechecks (about every 4 months.) While he does have some major vision loss, he gets around great and is such an adaptable dog. He loves being next to his people and begs for attention any chance he gets. He lives with multiple other low energy senior dogs and does great. He does not do well with high energy dogs or puppies. He is fine with cats and ignores them. Because of his vision impairment he does not tolerate being climbed on or pulled at so he should not live with young children. He would do great with teenagers or older kids who can respect him. Sheldon would also prefer a home without too many stairs. Apply to meet this handsome boy!”
Photo viaChester
Age: 3 Years Old / Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Sex: Male / Rescue: SAAP
“Please welcome Chester to SAAP. He just got to his foster’s house yesterday so they are still learning about him. So far, he’s been very outgoing and loves to rub against you. Doesn’t always like to be touched in certain areas but we are learning where those areas are. He does love head and chin scratches. He’s got gorgeous blue eyes and just happens to also be completely deaf. Also, he’s a big boy and he does like to play.”
Photo viaBruce
Age: 1-2 Years Old / Breed: Corgi / German Shepherd / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louies Legacy
“Bruce is a young Corgi/German Shepherd mix about 1-2 years of age. His little Corgi legs bring him to around 1 and ½ feet tall. At around 27 pounds, Bruce is easy to pick up and will happily climb onto your lap for snuggles or when going on car rides. He is quiet and rarely barks except if left alone in the crate. He is house trained, very well behaved and can be left out when no one is home. Bruce is mild mannered with little bursts of puppy-like playfulness, and very loving. He lives for belly rubs and big full body stretches. Hes curious about new people, dogs and even cats, and has yet to meet a friend he doesnt get along with. Hell spend most of his day lounging as close to you as he can get. Bruces adoption fee is $400, a small price to pay for such a cute and cuddly pup.”
