Everyone knows Fiona, Americas favorite hippopotamus and Cincinnatis adorable unofficial mascot, but our beloved premature miracle hippo is just one of many babies the Cincinnati Zoo will promote throughout the month of May.
For Mays duration, the zoo is fixing six-foot-tall stork statues outside of habitats featuring their newest and cutest bambinos and hatchlings during Zoo Babies.
Featured cuties include: Maximus, the just-over 6-months old colobus monkey; a quiver of spitting cobras hatched last June; Mani, the 6-month-old tamandua; and Daphne, a not-quite 2-year-old orphaned manatee rescued by the zoo last April. The newest and cutest little dumplings, however, are seven penguin chicks all hatched between December and March with names like Pierogi, Linguini, Toast and Jam.
