A “weird but good” festival is coming to Northside this weekend.
Analog Fair, a festival that celebrates community, creativity, crafts and curiosity through analog practices, will be held at PAR Projects on Saturday, May 17 from 4-11 p.m. Creative initiatives like art, music, literature, comedy, photography and more are all part of the event.
Organizers say after a successful debut in 2021, they’re expanding Analog Fair to include even more local artists, as well as focusing on growing their community and continuing to spark artistic curiosity. In the spirit of its analog nature, the festival does not have social media and relies on offline, word-of-mouth measures to reach people.
“While we aren’t anti-phone, our goal is to bring artists, creatives, and makers face-to-face. During a time where creating these bonds is absolutely vital to our survival, Analog Fair makes space to slow down, and cultivate something deeper and more resilient. We invite you to put away your phone, engage the senses, and bring mindful focus to the arts and people around you,” reads Analog Fair’s website.
The 2025 musical lineup includes Badman, Ascension Day, Victoria Lekson, DJ Sabastooge and other local musicians. The festival will also feature fun for all ages like shadow puppet performances, live comedy, visual art, tintype photography, live painting and more. Vendors will also be on-site selling handmade goods and upcycled or second-hand products.
