Local women’s summit “Power to Pursue” will return for its second year on May 5 at Music Hall.

Power to Pursue focuses on women in leadership, offering a place of sincere encouragement, advocacy and resources for professional women in any stage of their careers.

This year, New York Times-bestselling author Eve Rodsky will give the keynote address. Rodsky’s book, Fair Play, features a gamified life-management system that helps partners rebalance their domestic workload and reimagine their relationship.

“P&G, and our Home Care brands Dawn and Swiffer, have been big fans of Eve Rodsky's Fair Play system and her fresh take on household chores and we are delighted to have Eve come back to Cincinnati as a perfect speaker for the second year of Power to Pursue as it grows in size and impact in our community,” Barbara Hauser, community relations manager of P&G – the sponsor of this year’s Power to Pursue – said in a press release.

Author and poet Maggie Smith will also join the summit as a featured speaker. There will also be a session led by a regional presenter who was chosen after an open call for submissions. Panelists include Cincinnati City Manager Sheryl Long, Nancy Grayson, Michelle D’Cruz, Tarita Preston, Sarah Brown and others. Kyla Woods, a communications strategist, activist and entrepreneur, will return as the emcee.

"Last year, we were able to have 12 women on stage and this year we will have over 25 women lending their voices to our three stages,” said Power to Pursue founder Rachel DesRochers. “The growth is incredible and I am so proud of the impact this event is having. Welcoming Eve, Maggie, Tarita, and other incredible women to share their wisdom and expertise is going to continue to elevate Power to Pursue and this community to another level.”

You can buy tickets to Power to Pursue here. Organizers say attendees will receive a professional headshot, swag bag and actionable steps they can apply to their lives and careers.
