Boone County Distilling Co. to Host 'Home for the Holidays' Dog Adoption Event

If you’re looking to add a furry friend to your family for the holidays, Boone County Distilling Co. is hosting a special dog adoption event this weekend.

On Saturday, Dec. 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., potential adopters can stop by the Independence distillery for “Home for the Holidays,” where they can meet pups from local nonprofit Fred’s Mission Rescue. They will also have dog items like toys and care products for sale to help new owners get started.

Boone County Distilling’s bar will also be open and serving pup-themed cocktails all day. Florence bakery Memorie Makers will be on hand with sweet treats and coffee, and Smokin’ This and That BBQ will be serving food.

The distillery will also be donating 10% of its bar sales Saturday to Fred’s Mission Rescue. Learn more about the rescue here.
