The “girls, gays and theys” will be taking over Over-the-Rhine this weekend for the first-ever Big Gay Bar Crawl from the Midwestern Lesbian.
The Midwestern Lesbian’s founder, who goes by Kelsey online, started her website in 2021 to provide a platform for Cincinnati’s LGBTQ+ community to find events, businesses, groups and more that are specifically geared toward them. She also puts on events like the bar crawl and the Big Gay Karaoke Night coming up on Tuesday, April 16 at Tokyo Kitty.
The Big Gay Bar Crawl is happening Saturday, April 6 across 13 bars in Over-the-Rhine and Pendleton. It officially kicks off at 3 p.m., with the check-in location being Liberty’s Bar & Bottle (1427 Main St.). Other bars include:

- Rhinehaus
- Bloom OTR
- Homemakers Bar
- Level One Bar + Arcade
- Lost & Found

Pins Mechanical is one of The Big Gay Bar Crawl’s sponsors and will be offering a specialty drink, the rainbow-packed punch aptly named Lisa Frank. The Lisa Frank is crafted with vodka, fruit punch, Sprite, Watermelon Pucker and pineapple run and garnished with a piece of sour rainbow candy. Other participating bars will have drink specials available as well.
Tickets for basic admission are $15 and 10% of ticket sales will be donated to ACLU of Ohio. You can buy tickets here.
