One of Cincinnati’s cutest Christmas traditions returns this month.
The 36th-annual Reindog Parade will take over the streets of Mt. Adams on Saturday, Dec. 13. The event features festively costumed dogs of all sizes and their humans as they parade through the neighborhood and spread holiday cheer. Santa will be the parade’s grand marshal.
The parade also includes a dog costume contest, with several categories and prizes for each winner:
- Small dogs (under 25 pounds)
- Large dogs (26+ pounds)
- Dog/owner look-alike
- Group (three or more dogs)
Humans can also take part in raffles. You can buy tickets ahead of the event at mtadamsreindogparade.com: two for $10, three for $15 or seven for $20. All profits will go toward the League for Animal Welfare and its no-kill mission.
The parade will kick off around 1:45 p.m. from 946 Pavilion St. Registration for the parade runs 12:30-1:45 p.m., or you can register ahead of time online, but you will have to pick up your number in person.
