A local production company is bringing the indie sleaze aesthetic to life with an event later this month.
Mallratz Productions is partnering with Covington Yard to host Indieglo 2025, a “nostalgia-fueled” event meant to transport you back to the “golden age of American Apparel fits, a perfectly curated Tumblr account, ripped leggings and vintage flannels,” according to a press release.
Can’t afford to attend a music festival this summer? Or perhaps you just miss Bunbury (we do, too), and want to channel a similar early 2010s music festival aesthetic without the invention of a time machine? The event, which takes place at The Firehouse in Covington Yard, promises to help you channel that festival aesthetic (in the air conditioning) with a curated playlist by DJ Mr. Fantastic that includes only the best indie sleaze giants, like MGMT, Passion Pit, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and more.
You can choose from a variety of beverages to sip on while you take turns swaying to the music and schooling people about film photography, including cocktails, beers, wines, nonalcoholic selections and more.
Indieglo 2025 takes place July 25 from 7 p.m. to midnight. The event is 21+ and tickets can be purchased by visiting ticketleap.events.
