An Over-the-Rhine boutique is celebrating a milestone with a glow-up and celebration.

Lane & Kate, a woman-owned fine jewelry shop dedicated to ethical practices and best known for custom engagement rings that are designed in-house with GIA-certified stones, is celebrating its five-year anniversary under the leadership of Ellana Hagedorn. Hagedorn purchased the business in 2020 and it has since grown from a small collective to a destination for modern heirlooms.

Hagedorn says the boutique’s evolution has remained rooted in its mission to create timeless jewelry with integrity and empower clients through meaningful and transparent design experiences.

“This milestone is more than just a celebration of time—it’s a reflection of the people who have supported us, the couples who’ve trusted us with their love stories, and the creative spirit that keeps us inspired every day,” Hagedorn said in a press release. “As a woman-owned business in a traditionally male-dominated industry, I’m proud of how far we’ve come and excited for what’s ahead.”

In honor of the occasion, Lane & Kate this week unveiled a renovation of its Vine Street boutique, now featuring refined, intimate design touches to elevate the client experience and reflect the brand’s warm, approachable style. The boutique will also host an anniversary event with local partners on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a coffee and wine bar pop-up, fresh flower arch install, aura portraits, live jazz music and a cake-cutting. There will also be a raffle and limited-time, day-of specials on Lane & Kate’s diamond anniversary bands.

“It’s been a true privilege to partner with Lane & Kate and witness their journey unfold from day one,” Christy Samad, executive vice president of Commercial and Civic Space Activations for 3CDC. “Over the years, they’ve become an integral part of the fabric of Over-the-Rhine — a beloved brand that reflects the spirit and creativity of the neighborhood. We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with them and remain committed to supporting their continued success.”
