How much are your teeth worth to you? It’s a question posed by Procter & Gamble’s newest Oral-B creation: an Amazon Alexa-enabled electric toothbrush.

Yeah, your toothbrush can talk to you now.

For $229.99, you can usher your teeth-cleaning habits into the 21st century with this toothbrush that has all the functions of an Amazon Alexa. Its WiFi-enabled charger can play music or the news, update you on the weather, control your smart home devices, order stuff off of Amazon… and it’s water resistant.

Apart from Alexa, the techy-toothbrush has other methods of helping you maintain your oral health. It has a light monitoring system that assists the user in brushing efficiently, flashing red when you’re pushing too hard and green when you’ve brushed for two minutes. You can also sync the toothbrush to the Oral-B app, where you can receive personalized tips for improvement.

“Oral-B Guide works like a fitness tracker for your mouth, coaching while you brush and providing intelligent, real-time feedback on brushing frequency, duration, coverage and optimal pressure,” said Carlos De Jesus, P&G Senior Vice President, North America Oral Care. “It allows users to take control of their brushing time with the best new connected technologies.”

Should something that can play music, remind you of your morning routines, tell you the weather and control home devices even be called a toothbrush? Does Alexa clean your teeth, or are you cleaning your teeth with an Alexa? Are we getting that much closer to touchscreen shampoo bottles? Who knows. In the meantime, just brush twice a day and go see your dentist — unless he’s turned into a robot.
