The Force was with Queen City hockey fans on Dec. 16, 2022, as the Cincinnati Cyclones took on the Fort Wayne Komets at Heritage Bank Center.
Regional members of the 501st Legion‘s Ohio Garrison donned their evil empire and rebel scum cosplay as the ‘Clones hosted Star Wars night. Fans buying family four-pack tickets received mini lightsabers – all the better for posing for photos with characters like Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Padmé Amidala, jawas, stormtroopers and an array of scruffy nerfherders. “Fluke Skywalker” – who told CityBeat in a May interview that actor Mark Hamill commended his resemblance to the character – was there, even holding a young girl as she attempted to use The Force.
