Photos: Reds beat A’s 6-5 to complete the sweep

The Cincinnati Reds beat the Oakland Athletics on Thursday, 6-5, to complete a 3-game sweep.

They now have a 13-6 record since the All-Star break and brought their overall record to 56-58. Andrew Abbott pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed three runs to get the win, while Brock Burke got the save but allowed a 2-run homer in the ninth inning. The Reds slugged four solo home runs by Elly De La Cruz, Sal Stewart, Tyler Stephenson, and JJ Bleday. Two more runs came in the 5th inning from back-to-back bases-loaded walks to Eugenio Suarez and Dane Myers. The Reds play the Nationals this weekend in Washington. They return next Friday to face the Marlins following their road trip against the Chicago White Sox.
