Photos: Reds drop July 7 series opener to Phillies 4-1

Reds dropped their home series opener Tuesday night to the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1. Andrew Abbott pitched  6 innings and allowed 3 runs, including a costly 2-run homer to Middletown native Kyle Schwarber.

Eugenio Suarez produced the Reds only run with a solo shot in the 7th inning. Reds Hall of Famer Johnny Bench attended the game to present the Johnny Bench Award the best catchers in High School and College baseball and softball.
