Take Part in Some Unhinged Speed Dating This Valentine's Day at Commonwealth Sanctuary

Northern Kentucky comedy club Commonwealth Sanctuary is ready to set you up on a date for Valentine’s Day. Welcome to Unhinged Speed Dating, where you can meet other singles or just friends during a fun night full of surprises and all sorts of characters.

Unhinged Speed Dating will be hosted by Louisville standup comics Hillary Boston and June Dempsey on Valentine’s Day from 7-9 p.m. at Commonwealth Sanctuary.

“Meant for people looking for love along with people looking for friends. Be prepared to match with anyone, even a shark! This is about friends and dating. This event is silly and wild. It functions as a speed dating event, but there are also comedic elements that you will be asked to participate in, including: pinatas, crafts, balloon animals and more! We want to break you out of your shell,” reads the event description.

While you may just meet the love of your life, Unhinged Speed Dating isn’t exclusively dating-focused so you could also meet some new best friends while you’re there. It’s also a queer-friendly event, and all you need to bring with you is an open mind and a positive spirit.

Organizers say the event is open to everyone between the ages of 21 and 45. You also won’t match with everyone in the room, and you won’t get to choose who you sit with.

Those who buy a ticket will receive a survey in their email a few days before the event. While it’s not required to fill out the survey, it will help make the event run more smoothly, say organizers. During the speed dating event, you’ll fill out a match card and organizers will let you know who you matched with.
