Milly Age: 8 Months Old / Breed: Hound / Sex: Female / Rescue: SAAP ”Milly is a 6 month old 28 pound hound mix! She loves people. I think she would be a great puppy for a family. She’s a little nervous around dogs right now, but I think as the days go on with her being out of a shelter and with my resident dog she’ll be a playful happy puppy.” Photo via
Fred Age: 3 Months Old / Breed: Domestic Long Hair / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy ”Kittens are very social by nature, so if there is no other cat in the home, our kittens (under one year of age) are adopted in pairs. Hello, I’m Fred! I’m a 3 month old male kitten. I have longer hair which makes me really fluffy. I’m litter trained and good with small dogs. I haven’t seen bigger dogs, but I’m sure I would like them too. My favorite things are chin scratches and face snuggles. I really like to play with my siblings. My favorite day would consist of running around trying to catch the red dot. I’m super fluffy so If I were a treat I’d be a marshmallow. My adoption fee is $75.” Photo via
Lucky Age: 5 Years Old / Breed: Treeing Walker Coonhound Coonhound Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: HART of Cincinnati Animal Rescue ”Lucky here! I was hit by a car and left for dead on the side of the road. A nice lady found and took me to the closest vet where they contemplated euthanasia. You see, my spine was fractured leaving me paralyzed from the waist down. Thankfully, this rescue gave me a second chance. I am happy to be alive and am perfectly capable of living a good quality life. I just need to find a family who is perfectly cable of caring for my special needs 🙂 I am guessed to be a 5-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound. I love the company of other dogs and walking in my cart! I also enjoy getting pet by everyone I meet. If you don’t come to me, I’m rolling my way to you. My bladder needs expressed every 6 hours, and I cannot control my bowels. If you cannot deal with diapers, pee, and poopy messes, I will not be a good fit for you. I had bilateral leg amputation surgery to remove my back legs since they were dead weight. More recent pics are me without legs.” Photo via
Bear Age: 2 Years Old / Breed: Flat-Coated Retriever / Sex: Female / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy ”Hi! My name is Bear! I am a two year old, Flat-Coated Retriever mix. At 59 pounds, I am the perfect medium sized boy, fit for any yard! I am fostered with dogs, cats and kids and do great with everyone in my foster home, but I am a pretty playful guy which can sometimes annoy dogs that don’t enjoy playing as much as I do! I am mostly potty trained, but have had a few accidents while adjusting to my foster home – I promise I’m working hard at it! I am very quiet in my crate and will go in on command. I will need a family that is committed to training me to use my smarts for good. It doesn’t seem like I had any training prior to coming to rescue, so I’m very much a puppy in a bigger dog’s body! My foster family says I will learn quickly as I am very smart and eager to please. If you’re looking for a handsome, happy guy to spend your time with – you’ve found him! Apply today! My adoption fee is $250.” Photo via
Q-Tip Age: 4.5 Years Old / Breed: Great Pyrenees / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy ”Q-Tip is a 4.5 year old Great Pyrenees mix! This gentle giant weighs in around 140 pounds and is full of love! Q came into rescue severely matted so he received a much needed haircut. Once his fur grows back out, he’ll look like a big, fluffy polar bear again! Q is very laid back, loving to lounge around in his foster home. He does a little bit of running in the yard here and there but is primarily found relaxing around the home. He does fantastic with other dogs of all sizes, having met dogs that range from as small as five pounds, to as big as he is. He does great with cats and loves the children that visit. Q is potty trained and prefers to be free roaming over using a crate, but will use a crate as needed. He loves being with people and would love a forever home that is home more often enough to shower him in attention. If you want to make this big boy a part of your family, apply online today! My adoption fee is $250.” Photo via
Jerry Age: 10 Months Old / Breed: Doberman German Shepherd Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy ”Look at those ears!! Hello! Meet Jerry, he is cutest, nicest dog ever. He is a 10 month old Doberman/German Shepherd mix, and he has a beautiful tricolor coat. Jerry is crate trained and potty trained. He is very high energy and needs to be played with and exercised often. He is also a pretty funny dog, sometimes he’ll pick up his bone and throw it across the room to entertain himself. Jerry would do best in a home with a fenced in yard to roam around in. Jerry also loves to play with other dogs and is taken to the dog park often, which he enjoys it very much. His adoption fee is $400.” Photo via
Suit Age: 12 Weeks Old / Breed: Domestic Medium Hair / Sex: Female / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy ”Suit and Tie are 12 week old healthy, happy and fun litter mates. They love to play together and sleep together in a pile. They enjoy wet kitty food, playing with the laser pointer, ball and bell toys. Both are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, fully litter box trained and ready for a loving home. Suit is a true princess, She is sweet, cuddly, purrs and loves to be held. She may even try to climb in your lap if she is not getting the attention she believes she deserves. Suit’s adoption fee is $75, or adopt two kittens for $110. Kittens are very social by nature, so if there is no other cat in the home, our kittens (under one year of age) are adopted in pairs.” Photo via
Tie Age: 12 Weeks Old / Breed: Domestic Medium Hair / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy ”Suit and Tie are 12 week old healthy, happy and fun litter mates. Both are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, fully litter box trained and ready for a loving home. This little explorer is all boy. Vocal, adventurous, playful and curious. Tie’s favorite thing to do is seek out and discover new places, but will always come running for his breakfast or supper. Tie’s adoption fee is $75, or adopt two kittens for $110. Kittens are very social by nature, so if there is no other cat in the home, our kittens (under one year of age) are adopted in pairs.” Photo via
Logan Jax Age: 3 Years Old / Breed: Australian Shepherd / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy ”Logan Jax is a 40lb Aussie mix who is the ultimate come back kid. In his 3 years of life, he has been through more than we could imagine- living in a cave, possibly being shot, having hip surgery.. and now just needs a calm home with a furry friend or two to play and help him build his confidence. He is a play hard to get kinda guy, but once he knows you have treats and a kind soul, he will nudge you with his nose for ear scratches and belly rubs. He loves nothing more than a good chew toy and curling up in a dog bed. He is a little impatient, so if he needs to use the bathroom you can’t ignore him, but luckily he lets you know. He needs a quiet home, with at least one other furry friend and no children. With routines, patience, and love, Logan could be the perfect addition to your home. His adoption fee is $250.” Photo via
Teddy Age: 10 Months Old / Breed: Beagle / Sex: Male / Rescue: SAAP ”Meet Teddy! This beagle pup is a happy go lucky guy. He loves to play, give kisses and snuggle. What makes Teddy more special than your average Beagle? Teddy was born with a heart anomaly where a tract that blood flows through in his heart is narrow and some valves are a bit deformed. At this time, he has a heart murmur from this developmental anomaly. As Teddy grows up, he is likely to develop congestive heart failure. For now, our partner vet recommends that Teddy visit the doctor monthly for his first year of life. If the doctor of the adopter’s choosing believes Teddy needs a referral to a cardiac doctor, the adopter should follow through with that. Teddy is working on potty training, still having accidents but trying very hard. He’s crate trained. Teddy LOVES kids, and other dogs; due to a bossy cat in his foster home, he steers clear of them. If you feel Teddy could be a family member you are open to care for and ensure he gets the best care for his heart condition, please apply at www.adoptastray.com” Photo via
Ramen Age: 3 Months Old / Breed: Australian Shepherd / Sex: Male / Rescue: SAAP ”Ramen is an 18 pound Aussie mix. The people who found him fed him only human food so he’ll need to lose a little weight. Ramen is a very sweet cuddly puppy. Typical puppy energy, but then takes lots of typical puppy naps! He’s an all around great puppy.” Photo via
Road Runner Age: 9 Years Old / Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Sex: Male / Rescue: SPCA ”Beep beep, I’m Road Runner. I’m a happy-go-lucky guy who’s always on the move. I don’t let anything slow me down – not even my missing eye. I seem to do well around other cats (I had feline siblings before coming to SPCA Cincinnati) but I’m not quite sure how I feel about dogs. Make sure to introduce us slowly and give me plenty of time to acclimate. If you think I’m the perfect addition to your family, fill out an adoption application using the animal ID 44365739. Catch me if you can!” Photo via
Winston Age: 5 Years Old / Breed: Weimaraner Black Labrador Retriever Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: HART of Cincinnati Animal Rescue ”Welcome Winston! Winston is a 5 year old, 64 pound, Weim/Lab mix who was surrendered to HART because his owners were unable to continue caring for him. This big lug is a fantastic shot gun rider, knows some basic commands (sit and paw), and gets along well with other dogs. Winston is super chill, and while he’s not a big cuddler, he does enjoy laying next to his foster, on the couch. He’s a complete and total bed hog and completely house trained. Winston likes to chase cats, so a home without them would be best. He can also be reactive/protective on a leash towards other dogs so he’ll need some training in that area or a fenced yard! Winston did test positive for Lyme, which is a tick borne disease. It’s not contagious to other dogs or people and mostly lays dormant in his system. Should a flare up occur, it’s indicative with joint pain/inflammation and lethargy. Typically a dose of antibiotics is enough to cause the disease to go dormant again. Lyme has become prevalent with some of the southern areas and many HART doggies have lived long happy lives in their adoptive homes!” Photo via
Golden Age: 6 Years Old / Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Sex: Male / Rescue: SPCA ”Hey there! My name is Golden, named for my gorgeous coat! I’m a 6-year-old male kitty looking for my forever home. I have lived with other cats and have done well with them. I enjoy napping in the sun, birdwatching and snacks! If you have room in your home for me, fill out an application with my number, 44324590!” Photo via
George Age: Senior / Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Sex: Male / Rescue: Ohio Alleycat Resource ”Hi, I’m new at OAR! I’m looking for a home. They are learning about me and working on my biography. I’m not sure when they will finish it, so why not just come meet me in person? If you are interested in adopting from OAR, please fill out an application at www.ohioalleycat.org/adoption-form (don’t worry, the process doesn’t take long). Thank you for looking at my page!..” Photo via
Flora Age: 2 Years Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Female / Rescue: SPCA ”Hi! My name is Flora and I’m an adorable gal looking for my forever home. I have been in a foster home while I went through my heartworm treatment, and now that I’m feeling better I’m ready to be adopted! My foster mom thinks I’m just fabulous, and the staff at SPCA Cincinnati can’t get enough of my lil ears. I’m a very sweet girl and have been doing well in an apartment since I’ve been getting regular walks and play time. I’m working on my leash manners as I do find squirrels and lizards very interesting! I am crate trained and housebroken (awesome right??), and I am living with a cat and I’ve done great! I do like all kids, but would appreciate older children in my home since I am pretty strong and I forget my size sometimes! Since I completed my heartworm treatment less than 6 months ago, if you choose to adopt me I will need my blood tested to make sure those worms are gone for good. Interested in meeting me? Fill out an application with my number, 43359237!” Photo via
Buddy Age: 9 Years Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Male / Rescue: SPCA ”Well hello! My name is Buddy and I am looking for a place to live out my golden years. I am a senior citizen but that doesn’t mean I don’t have energy – I love walks and if you want to take me home you should be ready for an arm workout while I learn some manners. I am currently living in a foster home and they have nothing but great things to say about me. They say I am emotionally in tune and instinctively apply comforting pressure when my people are distraught, I just call it cuddling and making the sad go away. I really don’t see eye to eye with cats, so a home without felines would be best for me. Here is my ideal home: someone who is home a lot (I like attention!), is willing to be patient with my quirks, and a place without other animals or young, rambunctious children. I guess I could share all the love with another dog, but I am picky with my canine friends so we would need to meet before you add me to your home. If you want a sweet companion who wants nothing but to make you happy, please fill out an application with my number, 38747038!” Photo via
Melody Skye Age: 4 Years Old / Breed: Hound / Sex: Female / Rescue: SAAP ”Melody Skye is a sweet hound mix who has been looking for her forever home for a couple years with SAAP. Melody Skye loves to chase a frisbee and is a champ at playing keep away! She loves to go on walks and be with her people. She is crate trained and house trained like a good doggie. A fenced in yard would be great for Skye, but she can climb over some fences and should not be left in the yard alone. Melody Skye is looking for a special adopter who will help continue her training. This precious girl was frightened when fireworks were lit in the neighborhood and as a result became reactive to other dogs. Because of this, Skye needs to be the only pet. Skye has been professionally trained by Tori Roser at Pawlished Dog Training. Her future home would get a free follow up visit with Tori to learn the skills she has been taught. Tori is also there in case her new home has questions as Melody adjusts to her new life. Overall, Melody Skye would be perfect for a home looking to add a companion who is ready to start having adventures!” Photo via
Charlemagne Age: Young / Breed: Domestic Longhair / Sex: Male / Rescue: Ohio Alleycat Resource ”Charlemagne looks as regal as his name implies – such fabulous ear tufts! This beautiful buff guy is pretty independent, but he will definitely seek you out when he’s ready for cuddles. He usually likes to start the day with morning cuddles. After spending most of the day napping like true royalty should, Charlemagne likes to get his daily playtime in the evening. Charlemagne hasn’t always lived in the lap of luxury, so he may take a minute to warm up in a new home and he doesn’t love loud noises. If you have patience with him, though, the reward of seeing him come out of his shell will be well worth the wait. Come meet his highness today!..” Photo via
Sasha Age: 6 Months Old / Breed: Terrier / Sex: Female / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy ”Sasha is a six month old Terrier mix. She weighs 12 pounds. When she first arrived in foster care, she was very frightened and would barely let people near her. In a few days she had completely warmed up and now loves to cuddle. She is interested in the birds outside and exploring the backyard. She will need lots of toys and bones to chew on to help keep her content. She is remarkably low key for a puppy. She is content in her crate while her people are doing chores around the house or running errands. Sasha still has accidents in the house and will need further house training in her forever home. She is very sweet, and when given the time and patience to warm up, she will make a great companion. Sasha’s adoption fee is $400.” Photo via
Aussie Age: 1 Year Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Female / Rescue: SPCA ”Hello there! The name’s Aussie and I’m in search of my forever home. I’m a young lady with a lot of energy and I love to run and play. I’m in a foster home with my temporary parents and doggy sibling and they think I’m a very good girl (I agree)! I am housetrained, and I love rope toys and playing fetch. While I do love to run, I also suffer from hip dysplasia which I am on some medication for (just some joint supplements and pain meds as needed). You’ll know when I need them because I’ll limp a bit – but it doesn’t stop me from living my best life! Because I’m young and energetic, I will need lots of outlets to keep me busy. Enrichment is a must for me! If you want to adopt me, you will want to work with me since I seem to claim my space and I’m a firm believer in stranger danger. If people come into the house, you’ll want to have me on a leash until I can smell them and realize they aren’t a threat – treats help too! I’m not mean, I just love my people and my space. If you’re looking for a beautiful, high energy companion who is good with other dogs, I’m your girl! If you want to meet me, fill out an application with my number, 44019540!” Photo via
Halo Age: 3 Years Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Female / Rescue: SPCA ”Aren’t I just the sweetest angel?! I’m looking for a very friendly family, could you be it?! I’ve been searching for THE ONE! Let me introduce myself. The name is Halo. I’m a gorgeous girl at 3 years old and I’m ready to make some major moves and find my forever family! I’m scared of other dogs and young children’s fast movements. I need to go to a calm environment where I can curl up and know I’m safe. I’m the prettiest shade of grey and the most docile angel. I’ll take treats gently out of your hand and love to be pet. If you’re single and ready to mingle, I may just be the lady for you! See you soon!” Photo via
Dino Age: 2 Years Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Male / Rescue: SPCA ”Meet the incredibly handsome Dino! This big lug can’t wait to find his furever home with you! We think he would do best in a home with only adults who are active and willing to work hard on his manners. He hasn’t quite processed just how big he is and can start to become mouthy when he plays. He is the biggest baby though and just wants all the affection, as much as you’re willing to give! He enjoys going on walks and playing in the backyard with his hoomans. He especially loves playing with balls and rope toys! He LOVES to eat and needs to work on taking treats gently but he never means anything by it of course! He just cannot get enough of those yummy treats! He is as sweet as can be and you’ll be sure to fall in love! After a long day of hanging out and sunbathing, he will curl up next to you and lay his big squishy head on your lap and keep you warm the rest of the night. He is so very cute of course! If you think he would be the perfect addition to your family, fill out an “Adoption By Appointment” form to the left of the screen!” Photo via
Munchkin Age: 12 Years Old / Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Sex: Female / Rescue: SPCA ”Hello there, the name’s Munchkin. I’m a cute little lady looking for a quiet home to live out my golden years. I’m a calm kitty who enjoys the simple things in life – basking in the sun, watching the birds outside, and cuddling up with my human. I’m not sure how I feel about other cats and dogs, so be sure to do a slow introduction and give me plenty of time to acclimate. I should probably go to a home with older children, my playful kittens days are behind me. If you think I’m the perfect addition for your family, fill out an adoption application using the animal ID 44366058.” Photo via
Tempi Age: 3 Years Old / Breed: Domestic Medium Hair / Sex: Female / Rescue: SPCA ”Tempi came to us as a very shy and extremely under socialized little ball of fur. He is a gentle cat that loves the company of other felines, loves to play with toys, but is till working on his trust issues with people. He takes time to warm up to that special someone, but once he does, he is all yours for life. If you have patience and love to give, then Tempi is definitely the right companion for you!” Photo via
