A new study has revealed that your yearly summer trip to ride The Racer and Diamondback is one of the most affordable theme park trips in the entire country.

In HomeToGo’s 2026 Theme Park Index, Kings Island placed #11 on the affordability scale. Based on one-day ticket prices, parking costs and average accommodation rates, an average trip to Kings Island for the family costs $149 total.

“Theme park trips are a great choice for families looking to create classic summer memories, and with 55% of Americans planning to vacation with their loved ones in 2026, there’s no shortage of demand. Fortunately, when it comes to great value destinations, there’s no lack of contenders either,” said Eleanor Moody, HomeToGo Spokesperson and Travel Expert in a news release. “This year’s ranking shows how widely cost-effective fun can be found across the country.”

Fellow Six Flags park Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio also cracked the list at #28. Quassy Amusement Park in Connecticut topped the list with an overall cost of just $78. Surprising no one, Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Florida, Universal California and LEGOLAND Florida all sit next to each other at the bottom as the most expensive in the country.
