The History Channel’s “American Pickers” Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz are coming to Ohio. The duo is filming for their TV show — American Pickers — across the region in September and they’re looking for treasure.

“Pickers” are those who scour hidden history, looking for valuable antiques and vintage finds in people’s collections, closets, basements and barns. Wolfe and Fritz travel America’s backroads from coast to coast trying to “recycle and rescue forgotten relics.” The show highlights the accumulated stuff of different collectors — and their sometimes wacky personalities (and hoarder tendencies).

According to a release, “The pair hopes to give historically significant objects a new lease on life, while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way. Mike and Frank have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always looking to discover something they’ve never seen before. They are ready to find extraordinary items and hear fascinating tales about them.”

To that end, the show is looking for local leads and would love to take a look at your antiques. If you or someone you know has “a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the Pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through,” send your name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos to americanpickers@cineflix.com or call 855-OLD-RUST.
