Cincinnati Bengals fans: Here’s your chance to own a little piece of The Jungle.
Paycor Stadium began a multi-million-dollar renovation of the 24-year-old facility earlier this year. In with new means out with the old, and for you that could mean a new (used) television straight from the stadium itself.
Hamilton County is selling 200 of Paycor Stadium’s TVs for $30-$60 on Saturday, June 1. The public sale will happen at the stadium’s Gate D on the plaza off Elm Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or until the TVs sell out.
The county says the TVs are gently used and were in working order when they were removed from the walls. Buyers must pay cash in the exact amount of the purchase and will need to buy universal remotes on their own, however mounting brackets will be available for free on a first-come-first-served basis. There are no limits on the number of TVs you can buy, but you won’t be allowed to return any.
Here is the following pricing guide for the TVs, which is based on size:
- 24”-39” for $30
- 40”-49” for $40
- 50”-55” for $50
- 56”-85” for $60
Buyers must be able to load the TVs into their vehicles themselves or bring their own help, and you must be able to take the TV at the time of purchase, as none will be held for later pickups.
The county says it’s considering a second TV sale later this summer as more TVs are replaced in the stadium.
Last week, the Bengals announced it would be investing $100-$120 million in Paycor’s renovations to bring major upgrades to the facility. Those include fan-facing areas with updated video and audio systems, renovations to the suites and club lounges, concession upgrades and beautification projects. These renovations are planned to run through 2026.
“The Bengals are continuing to invest in our future here in Cincinnati,” Bengals Executive Vice President Katie Blackburn said. “We are lucky to have a great stadium and we are proud to invest in this great asset to help make it a best-in-class facility. We love our fans and can think of no better way to celebrate our 25th season in Paycor Stadium than to announce these major improvements that will make the gameday experience even better.”
