Kenton Hornbeck
Kenton Hornbeck is the business beat reporter for LINK nky. He joined the organization in January 2022 where he worked as the Covington and Newport beat reporter. That October, he was reassigned to the newly created business beat.
Before LINK nky, Kenton worked at the Falmouth Outlook as a sports, news and feature reporter from 2017 to 2022. While attending Western Kentucky University, Kenton worked as a general assignment reporter for the College Heights Herald sports desk. He graduated from WKU in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in finance.
Kenton is a native of Butler – a small city in northern Pendleton County. He is a 2015 graduate of Pendleton County High School. Throughout his schooling, he worked as an online play-by-play broadcaster for the school’s basketball and football games. He also served as a public address announcer for the school’s athletic department from 2014 to 2022.
Outside of work, you can find Kenton in the gym lifting weights, listening to podcasts, debating sports, traversing the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
