A new place to raise a pint is coming to The Banks this week.

Red Leprechaun Irish Pub, located at 20 W. Freedom Way between Taste of Belgium and E+O Kitchen, is celebrating its grand opening Friday, Oct. 6. The concept is led by the Fishbowl at The Banks team, and owner Daniel Scott partnered with chef Brian Duffy from the Spike TV series Bar Rescue to create the Irish-themed menu.

“Red Leprechaun is a traditional Irish pub with modern flair from our menu to the live entertainment with bands and acoustic music,” Scott said in a press release. “The pub marks another great location for sports fans and visitors to The Banks.”

Unique to Red Leprechaun will be the vintage bar, complete with stained glass and imported from Malahide, Ireland. It was built in 1957 and stood for 62 years until 2019 and was refinished for the opening.

The grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting at 2 p.m. The pub will officially open following the ceremony. JonJon from KISS 107 will be broadcasting live and you can hear live music from Irish band The Bloody Tinth from 7-10 p.m. followed by a DJ set from Fuseamania from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Red Leprechaun will join 15 other bars as part of The Banks’ DORA (designated outdoor refreshment area).
