One of Cincinnati’s biggest events is getting even bigger.
Taste of Cincinnati, the nation’s longest-running culinary festival since its debut in 1979, will now span four days instead of three.
For the first time ever, the event will begin on Friday, May 22; Taste of Cincinnati traditionally begins on Saturday. It will still take place during Memorial Day weekend and end on the next Monday, as it has in years past.
As always, the festival will feature over 60+ different vendors across Fifth Street downtown with over 300 different foods to try, all produced by local Cincinnati businesses as they compete for the festival’s ‘Best Of’ awards. An official list of this year’s vendors has not yet been released, although it’s a safe bet that your favorite Cincinnati cuisine mainstays will be on-site.
Road closures for the event begin on Wednesday, May 20. Friday will see the event kick off at 4 p.m. and run until 11 p.m. On Saturday and Saturday, the festival will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 11 p.m., and Monday will bring Taste of Cincinnati to a close when it runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Taste of Cincinnati is one of Cincinnati’s most popular festivals, with over 550,000 attendees yearly. The addition of an extra day will surely crank that number even higher. Taste of Cincinnati is owned and operated by the Cincinnati Regional Chamber, which also puts on major events like BLINK and Oktoberfest.
