As the Cincinnati Reds are gearing up for Opening Day Thursday, March 28, chefs at Great American Ball Park are prepping their kitchens for the upcoming baseball season.

Hungry baseball fans will have endless options to choose from this year, from a classic hot dog to burgers with a side of nacho cheese in Reds souvenir helmets. At a media event Friday, March 22, Delaware North previewed some of what’s new to hit concession stands from executive chef Gary Davis, including goetta sliders, nachos with smoked meat and a brisket hoagie from Montgomery Inn and sausages and hot dogs from the Reds’ new all-beef sponsor, Hempler’s. Also, back by popular demand is the Skyline Nacho Helmet, which debuted last year.

Also new on the concessions front is the Food Hub, a new walk-in, grab-and-go market located on the third-base concourse. It’ll feature concession stands from Penn Station, Wings & Rings and LaRosa’s, as well as hot dogs, snacks and drink coolers. It’s also self-checkout, making the experience faster and more efficient so you can get back to your seat without having to miss the action on the diamond.
