When two of the world's most heavenly sweets come together, what is it called? Busken Bakery calls it a Halo.

The bakery introduced their newest fan-favorite concoction to the public on July 13. The Halo takes a freshly made glazed donut, stuffs it full of ice cream and then hot presses it for a sealed, caramelized glaze. Yum.

The Halo Truck will be making its first visit to the West Side Aug. 9 at the bakery's Western Hills location from 4-10 p.m. The stop is part of their "Tour de Halo" which stopped on the East Side last week and will be traveling to the Springdale Busken Bakery on Aug. 14.

When it's not on the road, you can typically find the Halo Truck parked outside of Busken Bakery's Hyde Park location at 2675 Madison Road.

There are 11 Halo flavor options to choose from. The eight original Halos ($4) include the Crown Jewel with Graeter's Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip ice cream and Green Lantern, with mint chocolate chip ice cream.

The three signature Halos ($6) feature the Piggy-licious with Graeter's Maple Cinnamon Crunch ice cream, candied bacon, maple syrup and cinnamon sugar.

The truck is open from noon-9 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and noon-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
