Austin and Tony Ferrari of downtown's Ferrari Barber & Coffee Co. and the Contemporary Arts Center's forthcoming Fausto cafe are ready to reveal their long-awaited Camp Washington coffee shop Mom 'n 'em.
The shop has announced it will hold its grand opening on Sunday May 12, with this message on their Facebook page:
"It is not only a gift to our wonderful mother, but to all mothers!! We have faced every crazy city requirement and zoning issue in the book, but it is finally time to show you all what we have been working so hard on. We hope to see you on this special day!"
During the grand opening they will be offering free drip coffee from 8-10 a.m. and you get the first month free if you sign up for any of their wine memberships. Also on Sunday, the first customer that walks through the door gets a free beanie, the 25th customer gets a free tote bag and the 50th customer gets a free travel mug.
The shop will be open from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday and check their website for more info on hours and the history behind the name and inspiration.
Not only does Mom 'n 'em serve an assortment of craft coffee, tea and housemade sodas, they also offer a menu of sweets, toasties and tinned fish, plus a curated wine selection and cocktails like a gin and tonic and negroni.
