Chef Anthony Sitek of downtown’s Crown Republic Gastropub and Over-the-Rhine’s Losanti is offering his scratch-made pasta in DIY dinner kits that can be made at home, beginning March 16. They are available for pick-up at Crown Republic; curbside pick-up is available.
Gov. Mike DeWine has issued an order to close all Ohio bars and restaurants as of Sunday, March 15, but encouraged carry-out and delivery.
“From our kitchen to yours, these fail-proof meal kits are an easy way to put flavorful dishes on your table with a little help from Chef Anthony Sitek and team,” a press release from the restaurant reads.
The kits serve up to four people and are offered as either pasta with tomato sauce ($22) or pasta with bolognese ($25). The pasta kits come with one pound of housemade pasta, one quart of sauce of your choice and a half pint of Parmesan cheese. In addition to the pasta, they also are offering kale Caesar salad ($10) and a quart of daily soup ($9).
The kit comes with instructions for folks to easily prepare their meals at home.
To reserve a kit, call Crown Republic Gastropub at 513-246-4272. And a Facebook post encourages those who are planning ahead to email info@crownrepublicgastropub.com to reserve one in advance so the restaurant knows how many to make.
