Tired of White Claw? Want to mix it up and support local businesses at the same time?
Fairfax-based Karrikin Spirits Co. will release its first 12-pack of low-calorie and gluten-friendly Sparkling Spirits this July 4 weekend.
The carbonated and canned drinks are made with a base of Karrikin’s house-distilled alcohol and co-founder Jeff Hunt says the drinks offer “real spirits, real fruit (and) truly craft blended flavors.”
The flavors included in this 12-pack all contain 4.75% ABV:
- Keylime, also dubbed “margarita lite,” is a mix of lemon and lime, finished with an agave spirit, coming in at 157 calories.
- Blueberry, infused with lemon, lavender and, well… blueberries, is a vodka-based bev that will cost you only 128 calories.
- Citrus Tonic is Karrikin’s take on the classic gin and tonic, made with their Emerge gin, housemade tonic, lime and is 144 calories.
- Punch is a blend of pineapple, passionfruit, guava, pomegranate and rum. Summer in a can for only 113 calories.
Karrikin will be releasing information on how to pre-order a 12-pack on their Facebook and Instagram pages. You can also stock up at the Peach Truck Tour stop at the distillery/restaurant on July 12.
