Fairfax’s Karrikin Spirits Company is gearing up to reopen its doors “on a more regular basis” by teaming up with the Django Western Taco food truck for a new product release.
The new seasonal IPA, Amarillo By Morning, launches on Saturday, March 6 with a special event.
The Southwestern-inspired IPA is a mix of “slight country-western meets Ohio craft beer influence,” a press release says. Thanks to the Amarillo hops, this 6.5% ABV IPA is slightly bitter while still pleasantly aromatic, with notes of floral and citrus.
To match the theme of the IPA, Karrikin Spirits will bring the Django Western Taco to its launch event. The Django taco truck will be serving up tacos and flavors inspired by the Southwest.
Once you’ve sipped on a can of Amarillo By Morning, try a cocktail flight, which will also be offered during the event. Cocktails are created with Karrikin’s own 100% blue agave spirit, Blaze. Blaze is made from agave nectar imported from Jalisco, Mexico and distilled in Cincinnati.
The launch event also serves as somewhat as a “welcome back” for Karrakin. The business had halted operations except for production after its New Year’s Day brunch due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Be one of the first to experience a can of Amarillo By Morning during its launch event noon-8 p.m. March 6 at the Karrikin Spirits Company Taproom in Fairfax. Find full event details on Facebook.
