After three years, a Florence dog park and bar will close permanently.
BARk Park & Patio’s owners, Lee and Abby Cahill, announced on social media last week that they would close the business at the end of October. The Cahills say, with the dog park and bar primarily being an outdoor venue, poor weather throughout the year prevented them from generating enough revenue to stay open through the slower winter months.
“Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate this year. With a harsh winter, a monsoonal spring, and a scorching summer, we simply weren’t able to generate enough to sustain another season,” they shared in a Facebook post.
BARk Park & Patio’s last day of operations will be Friday, Oct. 31. The Cahills say, until then, it will be business as usual with events, beer on tap and fun for your dogs. Monthly memberships have been suspended, and the Cahills say they will work with annual members to refund what they can. They ask that you give them a couple of weeks to sort out refunds, and if you have questions, you can visit the business or email them at info@barkparkpatio.com.
“Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching friendships form, pups play, and a community grow in ways I could have only dreamed of. This place became a second home to me. All of you made that possible. Your support, laughter, and loyalty means the world to me,” Lee Cahill wrote.
